In our last blog, we discussed the signs that indicate that the water in your home is not safe to drink. For more signs, keep reading.
If your water has a bad smell to it like rotten eggs, or sulfur, this could indicate that an excess amount got into the water supply.
If there is an oily film on any standing water in your home, such as toilets or sinks, this could indicate that some oil or grease made their way into your water supply. This usually means there’s a leak or inadequate treatment was done to the water at the treatment center.
Rusted or Tarnished Silverware
Another sign that your water may be unsafe is if your silverware starts to rust. This could indicate an excessive amount of iron in the water which is coating your silverware, then oxidizing when it hits the air.
Water should be flavorless. If you detect a metallic or chemical taste in your water, this could mean there may be pesticides, herbicides, medications, or other chemicals in it.
If you experience any of these issues with your water, it is recommended that you get it tested immediately.
